At A&J Ecoblasting, we believe the world needs to be a cleaner place. Dustless blasting is the best solution for rebuilding something old and getting it back to its original condition. Our environmentally-friendly process allows us to strip paint, oil, and rust with no problems. In honor of Earth Day this month, we wanted to show you why ecoblasting is ecofriendly.
We take being “green” seriously. Our process works by mixing water and an abrasive inside of our blast tank before being sprayed out of the cleaning nozzle. By adding water to the abrasive before blasting, we are able to increase the mass and energy our blaster puts out while suppressing dust that could be full of chemicals from whatever we are blasting that can harm the environment and your health. This water process also helps us use less abrasive than traditional blasting. We use natural blasting abrasive that can be recycled, making our process the greenest around.
In the surface preparation industry, low dust, lead- and silica-free processes are important not only for health concerns but for the environment. Lead and silica used in traditional blasting contain heavy metals that are toxic to humans and the environment. We are 100% eco-friendly and comply with EPA and DEQ Environmental Standards. Plus, we are OSHA-compliant. Adhering to these regulations keeps everyone safe and doesn’t ruin our environment.
Plants help regenerate our planet by cleaning the air and creating beautiful landscapes. In no way do we want to harm them. Our process allows us to contain any debris to keep it off of nearby foliage so your landscaping goes untouched. Plus, because we can contain our mess so easily, we can maintain the beauty and health of the environment.
Since the debris is captured with the water during the blasting process, dustless blasting can be easily contained and cleaned. This makes ecoblasting ideal for environmentally sensitive areas. And the best part is no harsh chemicals are used. Uncontained emissions and debris from surface preparation operations, such as paint, coatings, paint chips, and primers, can be toxic and lethal to aquatic life, leach into the soil, and be taken up by plants, bioaccumulate up the food chain and ultimately affect humans. The goal of containment is to prevent blast emissions and debris from leaving the worksite, so they can be effectively collected for proper disposal.
These are great reasons for you to go green with A&J Ecoblasting.
A&J Ecoblasting offers a mobile ecofriendly service that enables us to come to you to prepare any surface prior to restoration or painting. The applications are endless and we can restore most types of surfaces to near original.
